Extent to 392 sq km is one of the most popular National Parks in Kenya. Because of its proximity to Mt Kilimanjaro, this enhanced availability of water, making Amboseli a favorite spot for wildlife.

Amboseli is renowned for its elephant populations and large herds, including some impressively tusked bulls. The park is also home to buffalo, wildebeest, zebra, giraffes, impala and warthog. Attendant carnivores include lion, leopard, caracal, cheetah, jackal, hyena and cat.

Bird life is prolific especially near the lakes and swamps where you may find water birds.
