Tsavo National Park, a vast arid region over 21,000sq km is Kenya’s largest wildlife stronghold. It is comprised of Tsavo East, Tsavo West and Chyulu Hills. Elephants in large herds are the number one attraction at Tsavo. It is also a good place to see some beautiful antelopes such as the Lesser Kudu. Other animals likely to be encountered are Buffalo, Impala, Masai giraffe, Common waterbuck, and Eland. Birdlife is a legion in the park. It is ideal for photography on account of its unlimited sunlight and the expanse of Yatta Plateau - the world’s largest lava flow. |
