In the North of the Namibia, Etosha National Park, meaning "Great White Place" is a semi-arid area of 23 000 sq km. It is one of the largest, impressive and best game viewing parks in Africa and the one of the most popular safari destination in Namibia. With the primary feature being a pan, this provides plenty of water for wildlife

Most of Africa's big-game species are found here in large numbers, including lion, leopard, cheetah, elephant, black and white rhino, giraffe, zebra and many other antelope. Etosha has over 300 species of birds, and a high concentration of lion.

The park is open all year but the best time to visit is between August and September
