THE PENINSULA

The Cape Peninsula is the world-famous peninsula near Cape Town, at which the Cape of Good Hope and Cape Point are located. The Cape Peninsula is renowned for its great scenic beauty. The Atlantic and the Indian Oceans meet not at Cape Point but at Cape Agulhus.
The Cape's flora is quite unique, containing the world's Sixth Floral Kingdom, named Fynbos.  Drive along the east and west coast of the Peninsula is magnificent, very pleasant and takes a look at the penguins Boulders Beach.

The Cape Winelands boasts some of the most majestic scenery in South Africa. It is situated to the north-east of Cape Town and offers a beautiful landscape of wine hills and mountains. Whether it is its magnificent natural beauty, its rich cultural heritage or its world-renowned wines, the Winelands Region is synonymous with all the best that the Cape has to offer. A 45-minute drive from Cape Town brings you to this area where you can experience the hospitality and beauty of Stellenbosch, Paarl, Wellington, Franschhoek and Pniel. The diversity of the Winelands will capture every heart. The excellent wines produced in this area are world-renowned. You will be spoilt for choice between small, boutique wineries and the larger, more commercial wine estates.

The Whale Route
From July to December whales can be seen at the shores of South Africa. Holiday makers who have been in the Kruger National Park and are visiting the Western Cape, will be able to see all the 'BIG SIX'. That means besides the big 5 mammal lion, buffalo, rhino, leopard and elephant the whale as well.

The so called 'Whale Route' from Lamberts Bay at the west coast to Port Elizabeth in the east is very attractive for visitors from all over the world. It is said that Hermanus is the best location for land based whale spotting in the world. Often the whales are so close to the shore that one can ask who is watching whom? Humans the whales or the other way round.
