Reservations
- A booking form must be completed to confirm a reservation. This will confirm that the purchaser and/or passenger had agreed on Bantu Journeys Pty Ltd.
- A deposit of 20% is required to secure a reservation and final payment must be received no later than 60 days prior to departure date.
Late Reservation Fee
- A late booking fee of $100.00 will be levied against any booking received within 30 days prior to departure. And full payment must be received prior to booking being confirmed.
Amendment/Transfer Fee
- Should you wish to amend your booking or transfer your booking to another departure date, you should notify us in writing and this will result in a $50 charge to cover communication and administration costs.
Booking Fee
- For any additional service not included in a package such as train reservation and hotels/car hire will result in a $50.00 charge.
Departure Taxes
- Departure taxes are NOT included in the package costs.
Cancellations and Refunds
- All cancellation must be made in writing to Bantu Journeys Pty Ltd and will take effect from the date of receipt of your written cancellation.
- The following charges will apply to the tour costs depending on the number to days before your tour departure:
More than 60 days prior to departure - Loss of deposit
Between 60 days - 30 days prior to departure - 50%
Less than 30 days prior to departure - 100%
- The non-issuance of an invoice or the non-payment and or/non-receipt of a deposit will not exempt passengers from these cancellation charges.
- There is no refund for any unused portions of your safari once it is started.
- Cancellation fees on airfares are additional and are not included in the above cancellation charge.
- We strongly recommend that you take Cancellation Insurance at the time of booking.
Insurance
- Bantu Journeys Pty Ltd strongly recommends that you are adequately insured for the full duration of your tour.
- We suggest you purchase insurance at the time you pay your deposit. Bantu Journeys Pty Ltd will not accept responsibility for loss of deposit or full payment, loss or damage to baggage and personal items including camera equipment, personal injury and illness, medical expenses and/or cancellation of your trip due to circumstances beyond our control.
Special Note
- Should a tour price increase after a deposit has received due to circumstances beyond our control including currency fluctuation, air fare surcharges, fuel surcharges, then any increases up until date of departure are to be paid by the passenger. If such increases are unacceptable the passengers may cancel their booking and still liable to pay any cancellation charges imposed in any way.
Consumer Claims
- Should you encounter any problems on your holiday it is always better to try and solve it directly with the supplier in Africa. If this is not possible and you wish to lodge a complaint, please do so in writing within 14 days.
Responsibility
- Completion of our booking form is an acknowledgement that the passengers have read, understood and accepted the Terms and Conditions.
- Bantu Journeys Pty Ltd and its agents act only as agents for the passenger with respect to services provided, included but not limited to hotels, lodges, camps, restaurants, sightseeing and all form of transportation.
- Bantu Journeys Pty Ltd takes all reasonable precautions to make these tours as safe and satisfactory as possible.
- All booking with us are subject to the Terms and Conditions limitations of liability imposed by our suppliers.
- We accept liability for, but only to the extent of, any loss or damage sustained by you as result of our negligence or that of our employees or agents.
- Bantu Journeys Pty Ltd does not accept any liability of whatever nature for the acts, omissions and/or default, whether negligent or otherwise, of those airlines, coach operators, shipping companies, hoteliers or other persons providing services in connection with your tour.
- Bantu Journeys Pty Ltd does not accept liability for injury, damage, delay, loss or additional expenses caused directly or indirectly by events beyond our control, or which are not preventable by reasonable diligence on our part including war, civil unrest, acts of God, unusually severe weather, acts of Government/authorities, accidents to or failure of machinery and equipment.
